HEALTHY KIDS AND TEENS

“HAPPY, HEALTHY KIDS AND TEENS - NURTURING MIND, BODY, SPIRIT WELLNESS!”


All classes are  designed to help kids and teens cultivate healthy habits and lifestyles that promote positive physical, mental, emotional and relational well-being.  Providing our young generations with simple and practical self-care tools can significantly boost their capacity to effectively deal with difficulties throughout their lives.


Each class is customized to suit the unique needs and age group of the participants. A sampling of classes include:


Physical Wellness

The goal of this class  is to encourage self-care for the body and mind, with the aim of enhancing energy levels, overall health, happiness, and self-esteem.  Practical strategies to prioritize physical fitness, balanced nutrition, personal hygiene, proper sleep and making good choices are components of this class.


Mental Wellness

This class guides individuals in creating healthy, encouraging, supportive mindsets.  Managing stress and anxiety, creating positive self-talk, developing internal and external support systems, mindfulness and more are presented in this class.


Emotional Well-Being 

Focused on promoting a positive mindset and enhancing emotional well-being, this class offers topics such as understanding and expressing emotions, healthy coping mechanisms, relaxation techniques, personal values and more.


Healthy Self-Esteem

The ability to take care of oneself can generate a sense of accomplishment and independence, leading to increased levels of self-esteem, self-honoring, self-respect and confidence.


Spiritual Wellness 

Topics in this class are designed to connect individuals to peace and calm within themselves.  Practices such as qigong, yoga, gratitude, mindfulness, meditation, personal values and self-esteem are a part of the curriculum.


Healthy Relationships 

Building and maintaining positive relationships with self and others.  Effective communication, social skills, setting boundaries, peer pressure, making healthy choices and other relationship skills are taught in this class.
